Flames invite Predators to the Saddledome

Tomas Vokoun recorded 28 saves for the Predators, who began a stretch of three consecutive road games against Northwest Division teams. The trek will conclude with a visit to Edmonton on Saturday.
Nashville still needs to earn just one more point to clinch a postseason berth, and should get it if recent history is any indication. The Predators have won eight consecutive games against Calgary, including all three previous encounters this season, and have emerged victorious in each of their last four trips to the Saddledome.
The Flames haven't beaten Nashville since a 4-0 home shutout on January 22, 2004.
Calgary has been tremendous at the Saddledome this season, however, and improved its NHL-best home mark to 29-7-2 with Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Detroit.
Kristin Huselius tallied the deciding goal on the power play late in the second period, while Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 30-of-31 shots to make the lead stand up.
Daymond Langkow also had a power-play goal and Dion Phaneuf assisted on both markers for the Flames, who put an end to a three-game losing streak.
Calgary currently owns the eighth and final playoff spot in the West, but its lead over ninth-place Colorado has dwindled to only four points. The Avalanche are 9-0-1 over their last 10 games.
